Reporting a Problem

North Duffield Parish Council are responsible to 42 of the village streetlights. North Yorkshire Council (NYC) are responsible for the others. In 2018 the Parish Council undertook a project to update all the Parish Council owned lights to LED's. This has not only given the council a 20 year guarantee but also running cost savings of over 70% reducing the energy bills dramatically.

If you would like to report a fault with any of the streetlights please contact the clerk or report it direct to NYC.

The Parish Council are also responsible for Grass cutting, Parish Council streetlights, the village green, the defibrillator, the Parish Council notice board.

North Yorkshire Council

Street cleaning, dog fouling, litter, abandoned vehicles, fly tipping, street names, graffiti, bin collections, planning (including enforcement issues).

North Yorkshire Police

All incidents should be reported to the police on 101 (non emergencies) or 999 for an emergency. Our local PSCO is happy to assist with issues and makes regular visits to the village.
